go to creditcards.com and apply for everything. someone will approve you.
Do not under any circumstances apply for a secured card. You want unsecured credit cards with the lowest rate you can possibly find. |

you will not get any credit card at all without a job. your parents should know that. |

Since your parent will pay for your card, ask them to add your name into one of their credit cards. Then you will have your own card, and over time, their credit rating will reflect to yours (But you need to be responsible with your spending).
In the meantime, try to apply Chevron or Shell.
Good luck! |

You can try applying for a card with your parents as co-signors. You'll be sharing the account, responsibility, and the credit history with them. It's a good way to start building a little credit in your name - after a year or two, try applying for another card in just your name to start building your own credit history.
Remember that "minimum payment due" is for suckers - if you don't pay off the entire balance every month, you'll end up paying way more in interest than it's worth, and possibly wind up in serious debt. |

since u have no credit established, you probly cant get one, if u can.. probly wont get much.. maybe $200 credit line. i'm 20 yrs old and ive been able to get 2 credit cards.. a visa and mastercard.. ive been paying on my mastercard for 6 months now and they gave me a $50 credit line increase.. but dont waste ur time with discover, american express or anything like that.. thats for people with good credit, high paying jobs.. |

Actually your age and no job will make it difficult for you to obtain a credit card. Unless you apply for a high risk card that are advertised on the internet. Which, I would discourage...for they charge too much interest and will grant a small amount of credit roughly $200.00 - $300.00. I would sugest getting a part time job especially in the summer months, open a checking or savings account....be careful not to overdrawl on the accounts. Then reapply several months later. |

First of all,you should not apply for more credit cards because that will hurt your credit and will show more hard inquiries in your credit report. A hard inquiry is when a potential lender pulls out your credit and it stays for two years in your credit report.
My advice is, as long as your parents are going to pay off your credit card, consider a secured credit card from any bank -prefferably Wells Fargo Bank- to begin your credit with.
A secured credit card is a type of credit card secured by a deposit account owned by the cardholder, that is you.
When you go to the bank, they would explain more.
Then after having a secured credit card, a few months later, you will find many offers for credit in your mail.
if you need help how to maintain good credit and how to use your credit card in a way that will boost your credit score, please contact me at: admin@scratchnumber.com
Good luck |

I'm twenty, was nineteen when I got my credit card, and I had bad credit (overdrew checking account A LOT and didn't pay some online purchase bills). To fix this, I got a Capital One Platinum Visa card about 6 months ago. I pay $6.05 a month to have my credit checked monthly, and I got it, my card limit went from $500 to $1000, and I've gotten offers for a Discover card and loan offers for between $5,000 and $30,000 to buy a car. I never got offers for loans that had such a low APR either. Plus if I ever get in trouble or anything, you can use the Capital One card to get cash at an ATM if you need to bail someone out of jail or something along those lines. People might say that a credit card will hurt your credit, but if you get it and just put it in your desk drawer or something and not use it, and pay your monthly bill on time, it will only help your credit.
I didn't need a co-signer or anythin like that either, may credit amount just started mad low. Good luck, this plan worked for me, hope it worked for you. |

Get a pre-paid credit card, you can fill it up and you can use on-line, over the phone shopping anywhere like a credit card |
