Credit cards are evil vessels that take you on a trip directly to financial ruin. |

The interest rate and credit limit you will receive will depend on what is currently in your credit report. If you have a high credit score (over 750) then you will get the best deals on credit cards rates, etc. You can check BankRate.com to compare different credit card offers.
I don't recommend using a credit card in an emergency. In an emergency you really don't want to borrow money. I recommend saving up an emergency fund of your own money that equals at least 3-6 months of expenses (or at least $1,000 if you are actively paying down debt). That way you can pay your expenses and not worry about having to pay a credit card back. |

When I bought my house, I was told to never get a Capital One card. He told me that people with a low credit score it is often due to Capital One...something about reporting everything even if you pay within the grace period. |

just go to a search engine for credit cards and type in your info about the type of card that you prefer, it will bring it up to you and you choose which card fits you best. |

You should get a credit car with low interest rates and low credit limit. This will cotnrol your spending and allow you the ability to pay back your debt.
If you ever plan on getting a mortgage or asking for a line of credit, your ability to pay back your credit card and the amount of credit you have on your credit card may impact the banks decision to grant you the mortgage/loan. |
