None... They're all going to whack you with a insanely high interest rate. Not to mention the FEES that will have you going crazy. I would steer clear of credit cards though. Try a small loan or charge card to raise your credit first. If you insist, steer clear of American Express. They charge you a ridiculous annual fee. And I've heard through the grapevine that Capital One is not so great either. Many times, your local bank or credit union will offer credit cards. Try there first. |

A secured credit card. That means you post the corresponding amount of your limit with the bank. If you want a $1000 limit, you post $1000 in a savings account. It would give you a card to check in to hotel, rent a car or buy a plane ticket, without actually putting you in debt. The bank has very little risk so they are pretty plentiful. I'd suggest having twice your credit limit in cash on hand. That way you won't ever have a balance on the card. And yes, you will be establishing credit. And anyone who sees it won't be able to tell the difference from a "regular" credit card. |
