Call the bank immediately and tell them what has happened and they can stop anyone from being able to use it. Of course someone would need your pin too but you never know who just might get lucky. They can issue you another card and most banks don't charge a fee. |

Call your bank, not Visa. Visa will just give you the phone number for the bank. They will close the account and issue a new one. Do it right now or you will be liable for some of the charges. I use a credit card and ATM only.
There is no fee and most banks can give you a temporary ATM card in the meantime. The process is very easy and you can go into or call any branch of your bank.

I have had to replace cards before . Go to your bank and have them help you, I did and had a replacement card in 3 days. And when my ex-soninlaw tried to use the old one they caught him. |

you can just call the bank.go to their website to look up the number for a lost or stolen card,and once u report it stolen you can go to the bank and they can give you a temp. one and the new one comes in like a week.that just happened to me not too long ago |

best thing to do is call your bank, they temporarily close the account so money can't be used. If you find it, they open it again, but if somebody has attempted to use it, they will most likely cover the money taken and give you a new card or password/pin number. |

Hi, Sol!!
I wanted to let you know that all the answers are correct with the exception of not being able to obtain a refund of any defrauded funds. Last December, 2006, I checked my bank balance on-line and found that someone had accessed my account and had withdrawn almost $ 500.00 and had it wire transferred to a Western Union office in L.A. Since I live about 3,000 miles from L.A. and I don't know anyone there, it was impossible for me to have authorized the transfer. Went I inquired at the bank I was told to call Western Union to ask about it. The next day I went back to the bank, filed an affidavit
and a police report. I was given a new card immediately and the money was reimbursed plus any overdraft charges within a few days. Follow the suggestions of the others and it will be fine. In the event it was a credit card, I believe anything under $ 500.00 will be covered.

I don't know who you bank with but I lost my card and I did not call them to report it because I thought I would find it. But I kept checking my balance to make sure there were no charges. After the weekend I called the bank and it would of cost me 5 dollars but I had to wait 10 business days. So I paid 20 dollars and had it in two business days and it came in the mail via UPS. |
