Why bother asking the question if you've already decided the answer. My Amex is worth it's weight in gold (?platinum): the travel insurance alone would cost roughly the same per year as the card fee.
But, as I say: you've made up your mind about it anyway, so there's little point telling you about it, is there. |

Well then, it seems you already answered your own question. You only get the platinum card if your dumper doesn't lay smelly chocolate chips. Read the fine print down at the bottom of the statement, for crying out loud. |

You need good credit, a blood sample and a first born male child |

For a moment i thought you had finally come to your senses and raised a valid and intelligent question.
But unfortunately you just had to lower yourself to sewer level yet again.
But I will offer an answer, you have to be earning a minimum amount annually and have an exemplary credit rating.
In your case - probably never anything to worry about. |

The American Express Platinum card isn't a credit card as such. Theres no spending limit but you do have to pay an annual fee, plus whatever you spend has to be paid off in full every month. Therefore is only really considered for people with a decent, regular wage and good credit. |

They will give them to anyone with a job, but for those with lower income, they are limited to buying only smelly chocolate chips. |

To answer the question, any person with good credit.
Oh Christy, I almost thought you were asking a legitimate question, but then, as always (as we all know) you haaaad to turn this into an excuse to talk about dookie...
It's been said many a time before, but I will say it again: FECAL FETISH |

you need to be a sane, rational person - which you are not- so don't worry your pretty little dreads about it. |

You pay £300 a year for this piece of glorified plastic, there are various 'rewards' for this price, with protection against fraud being one of their main selling points. But I have to say a friend of mine had her AMEX cloned and she had to fight tooth and nail with them to get back the money that the fraudster had spent on it, so much hassle that she cancelled the card in the end. |

i would imagine, you just have to have good credit. at 20, i had an AMEX gold card, no source of income, and i had never worked a day in my life!! but i had really good credit...i cancelled it thought because i didnt like paying the yearly fees for something that is nothing more than a glorified debit card...
nice question, though. now im curious, too... |
