Lots of things can cause money to be withheld from your paycheck, especially taxes, but also health insurance premiums, 401K plan investments, etc. Gross salary is what her employer agreed to pay her before all those deductions. Take home pay is her net paycheck, after deductions. |

the rest was taken by uncle sam.. the government fees like your state and city tax and health benefit comes out and so on..several fees that you will see stated on your check stub..
that why you file taxes and uncle sam will return some of it at tax season. |
