"In-store credit" is basically cash you can use only in that store. If you purchase item(s), the in-store credit will be applied to the price at the register, and then you only have to pay the difference.
For example, if you have an in-store credit of $15 and you want to purchase an item that costs $20, they will apply the $15 credit and you will only pay $5. |

It means that you can buy anything in the store up to that amount. Say you returned something and they give you an in-store credit of $50. You can buy anything in the store and put that $50 credit towards the purchase. If you don't buy $50 worth of goods, then they'll give you a credit towards the difference. If you buy something that is over $50, you will be responsible for paying the difference out of your own pocket. |
