I'm pretty sure you just got a First Premier Bank credit card. Unfortunately, the fine print includes a annual fee, program fee, account set up fee, monthly participation fee and even an expedited processing fee if you elected such. Call to cancel the card and whatever you do, don't charge anything on it. I'm sure they will tell you it's too late to cancel, but if you are forcefull enough and speak to a supervisor (and his/her supervison) you should be able to get them to do so. I just checked a few complaint websites and people have been able to cancel their card with no penalties. (Assuming you are talking about first premier) |

Does the card have an annual fee that was charged right away or did you accept an insurance plan with it? Either that or, if you have bad credit, it may be a deposit amount that they expect you to pay before you can charge anything on the card. I'm not sure though. |

You obviously failed to read the fine print in their offer. This is basically a scam by bottom-feeding credit card companies. Cut the card up and mail the pieces, certified return receipt to the card issuer and file a complaint with your state consumer protection agency. |

That sounds like a processing fee, be very careful. I bet your interest rate is out of this world. Is there a number you can call? I wouldn't use the card until I had all the fees and interest explained. |

It would be much better to get a debit card from your bank with either a mastercard or visa logo.Dont get caught up on these so called credit cards to establish credit, not a good idea |

they charged your card the 178.00 for fees to open the account. Until you pay these fees, you only have 122.00 left in the account to spend. Smart huh? Now they will charge you interest on the money they charged you to open the account! Yep, you got the old credit card ripoff. That's why I don't use them. If I can't afford it, I don't buy it. |

Sounds like a "secured" credit card to me. Do you have bad credit? Call the toll-free number listed on the back of your card and ask the company to explain it to you in detail. |

They always do that...check the fine print and I'm sure you'll find that they have fees for everything, including issuing you the card. It's stupid but it's how they make their money. |
