Nothing criminally can happen as when ever money is lent there is always a risk taken. However your credit rating will be destroyed which can affect a variety of things such as your ability to ever own a house. It will almost certainly be rereposed and you can be sued in court for the balance plus any legal fees. This can lead to garnishments amongst other things. If this is your planned course of action I strongly rerecommend against it.

Kiss your credit SCORE bye bye, cause it's gonna go down in the dumps! IN THIS COUNTRY YOU ARE NOTHING IF YOU HAVE BAD CREDIT!!!!

buttmunch20021990
u will eventually get sued and taken to court as u are stealing from the company!

vimesfan01
Uh, that would be theft. And they will come after you.

Go ahead and do let us know what happened. Keenly interested.. :)

REPO men do not repo items that you cannot title (like cars)
the balance due will keep going up - they could take you to court and if they win - might be able to garnish your wages, your credit rating will be ruined affecting future car loans, mortgage applications and credit cards - might also affect future apartment rental applications. Hardly any stores do their own credit anymore - they would insist on credit card, so you';d be dealing with the credit card company, not the store you bought it from - unless it was their own credit card - like Best Buy

It gives you a negative credit rating and the company can take you to court to get the money you owe and charge interest on that amount. If it does go to court you might be charged lawyer and court fees as well. Also, the bad credit will be on your rating for many years which will cause getting a car loan, house loan, or credit cards to have high interest rates.
If you go to a rent to own place they will come to your house daily to reprocess the tv and leave notes on your door saying they want to get the item. They might be able to bring police since it is theft but that is something that depends on your state laws.

It happened a guy I know.

When the repo guys came, the value of the tv had halved.
So they took other stuff aswell to make up the cost.

He tried to attack them and they beat him down hard.

1. they will eventually repo the TV, which will be worth much less than when you bought it.

2. your credit scores will take a hit as the late payments will show up.

3. eventually, the debt will be sold to a collection agency. this will be a charge off, which looks bad.

4. the collection agency will eventually come after you in court for the deficiency. this could result in garnishment, levis, asset seizure.

is any of this worth it to you? be smart and make the payments on the TV.

You will get a bad credit rating and they will come and balifs will come and take away your possessions that add up to the value of the flatscreen. Do not do it.

Karen B
they will come after you!
