Like just about everything it all depends. If you have money or property in your name that becomes part of your estate, it can be used to pay the crddit card provided that thee amount in your estate is suffiicient after payment of other claims with more priorority. If there is no such property, there will never be any payment. Your children, spouse, etc. are not personally responsible for payment of your credit card debtg. Howevever they will not inherit from your probate estate until it is fully paid. |

The debt will be settled with your estate. Anything you have of worth will be used to settle any outstanding debts. |

If there is a joint owner on the account, they'll be liable for the outstanding amount. If you are the sole owner of the account, your estate is responsible for the debt. If your estate has no assets, the creditor eats the loss. |
