They'll repossess your truck and you'll have that on your credit for 7 years. |

Generally, they'll send you first polite, then not-so-polite letters, then they'll call, then they'll send someone to repossess it, sell it themselves, and apply whatever they get to what you still owe on it. If the loan isn't paid off from it, they will then keep trying to collect the balance from you. It will also go on your credit record. |

Well after payment is late 30 days the first ding goes on your credit, after 60 another, then after 90 they take the truck sell it at auction for much less than you owe, then come after you for the difference, plus fees, interest etc. Meanwhile the credit card companies see that your score has sunk so they raise your interest rates. You are now sunk as the truck will show on your credit report for 7 years, and they will keep coming after you for the money up to and possibly including a court judgment, which means they can tap your account, your tax returns, and garnish your wages. Even selling the truck you cannot get released from the loan unless you cover what you owe. Best you can do is learn from your mistakes, and it appears that you have, but there is no easy way out of this. |

The lender will repossess the vehicle. They will sell the unit at auction and apply it to your balance. They will add any and all costs to recover, store, recondition, repair and re market the unit. You will then owe this new amount. They will contact you to pay it. If you do not, they will sue you and likely prevail in the suit. You when then have a judgment and they will garnish your pay and attach any real property you own. |

If I were you, I would not pay my credit cards and pay my truck payment. Credit cards are an unsecured debt, but if you have been financed on your vehicle threw Ford, GMC, Dodge, etc-if it gets repossessed it will remain on your credit file for at least 4 years, also whom ever has your title loan can sell it dirt cheap, lets say you owe $15,000, they repo it and sell it for $5500 as is, the additional $9500 will be put on your credit report and will continue to build interest each and every month until you either pay it, settle it, or it drops off.
I would pay my vehicle payment and let the credit cards go especially if you do not owe that much on the credit cards. Or contact all your creditors and see what type of help they may be able to offer you. Good Luck |

I suppose if you quit paying who ever you borrowed the money from will reposes it. Your credit cards really have nothing to do with it. Although you should try to get them paid off, and keep them paid off every month. |

If you don't pay on your car loan, than the repo man is going to come and get your truck.....sorry.
Heck, I almost got my truck repo'd and I only had $200 left to pay before I actually owned it. ...I was about 2 months late.. |

Well the truck will be repossessed and it'll show on your credit for 7 years, you'll also have a difficult time buying another car for quite a while. You'd be better of paying the truck and stop paying on your credit cards .at least you'll still have transportation to get to work. If you own a house you'd be better off taking out a home equity loan, paying off the cards and then making both payments if possible. |

Turn the truck in to the bank. They will sell it and then you will have to pay the rest. It's better than taking a total lose on it. |

You will get a visit from the friendly local repo man and your credit will be ****** for the next 7 years |

Have you thought about refinancing? Maybe that will help lower your monthly payment to something you can afford.
If you stop paying, "most" banks will send you a letter (or call) and tell you that you have missed a payment and to pay. After 3, they will repossess your truck. Don't let that happen... it will ruin your credit!!
This is gonna sound crazy, but have you thought about getting a credit card with a 0% interest for a year and transfer the balance of the loan to the card? Many people do this and then before that 0% ends, transfer to another 0% card. This way you are only paying just the 10% that most cards require as a minimum without the interest rate.
If anything pay the minimum on your credit cards and make the payments to your truck.... IF you have TOO much debt, look into consolidating your debts.
Good luck |

It might really save you a lot of running around to just get a car loan estimate online to see what the going rates are. You might be pleasantly happy. Also if your credit is not so great, a lot of them are more willing to work with you.
What I always tell folks is that an online quote at http://auto.lowratetoday.com is what I would do. |
