You probably won't get the original back, the machine automatically destroys it. Contact your bank branch and they will issue a new card. |

That way you have every right to break the cash machine box,,and wipe away all the cash along with ur card too..

it gets sliced in 2 by the machine. you have to tell your bank and they will send you a new one. |

if the card has been kept for because of lack of funds or the account has been run badly, the bank will not reissue you you're card, if the reason is that you've just left it in the machine and forgotten to take it, as long as you take ID with you to the bank you should have i returned to you. if the card has flagged up being lost and stolen' on the internal journal roll of the machine(you wont see this) you wont get it back either. god luck! |

the bank that you put it in to now just cut it up - they used to send it back to your own bank but now they dont - phone your bank and ask for a new card |

That happened to me recently while I was abroad. I was told the bank destroys the card or sends it back to the bank you are registered with. I don't know which is true. |

Banks are not able to return the card to you once its eaten by the ATM machine. There is a reason the card was captured and once researched if they need to return the card to you they need to order a new one and have it sent to you. |

Contact the bank you lost it at plus call your own bank to find out why it was taken. If you have a card that is closed, they will take it at the machine, and you will not get it back. Sometimes if you put the wrong pin number in it will take the card because it appears to be stolen. |

If your card was "captured" by the ATM it means that the bank that issued your card requested the card to be returned. You need to contact your bank and find out the reason why.
In some cases the ATM will issue a receipt with a code on it that you can give to the bank and they will let you know what it means. |
