It will go on your credit report and lower your credit score. If you are denied a credit card, the company is legally required to send you information on how to check your credit for free...they will give you a website and password...so keep your eyes on the mail. |

First, did they tell you WHY you were rejected. If you ask, and you should, they are required to tell you under the terms of the Fair Credit reporting Act.
The fact that you applied and were rejected was probably reported to all 3 credit reporting agencies, Equifax, Experian and Trans-Union, so yes it would negatively impact your credit. |

if you don't have any credit yet , it will not affect your credit at all.
try department store credit cards or gas stations ones- they are easier to obtain. |

To get credit you must have a debit card. JC Penney will be the first to give you a card if you have a debit card first. Then you will get the credit you need, trust me! |

No, credit level was determined by previous credit card debts. I am assuming you don't have any, so they rejected you because of other reasons. Probably age limit or annual income limit. Don't worry, you just don't have the option to borrow money with 13% interest per year, be happy about it. |

it gets put on your credit report and if you have a crdit score it drops. other credit card companie will see that you were rejected and are more likely to deny your request for a credit line. |

Too many inquiries can definately get you rejected. This is common when shopping for credit. Here is one that supposedly does not do a credit check. They start you with 350 credit limit and it is not prepaid. It is 0% apr if you do not do cash advance.

It shouldn't hurt your credit. It has alot to do with your job history and your age. J.C. Penney usually gives their card pretty easily. You can also try to get a card by going in and making a purchase and applying for a credit card for what ever store your in and typically, they offer a 10 - 15% discount on the purchase. Pretty cool way to get credit and a discount on something you want. |

According to alot of different sources each inquiry to your credit report counts anywhere from two to five points off your credit score. However pulling your own report to check its accuracy has no effect on your score.
If you are constantly getting rejected from different credit card companies you may want to consider getting a secured credit card from places like Bank Of America. After a few months of paying your balance on time they will switch your card to unsecured, and then they will report it to your credit frequently. This could do wonders to your credit over a period of time if this is a problem your facing. Anymore questions? :-)

I think that the inquiries take points away, but im not positive |

The inquiries show up on your credit report and creitors can see that there are inquiries without any resulting accounts, so it *could* look bad. Inquiries stay on your report for about two years, so I would stop applying for a while unless you're certain you will be accepted. The credit card companies should have sent you a letter stating why your application was declined. Work on improving whatever it was they said. |
