orchard, secured cards, but with bad credit you might have to start with store cards and build up from there.

www.Centennialcard.com and you can choose either a VISA or MC and rebuild your credit with that and later you can start getting offers to apply for credit once your credit's back up where you can get a credit card and maintain good credit. It's worth getting to rebuild, but not for long term credit use. Check your credit history as well to make sure all these things are off the record you can get copies of your free credit report at www.Annualcreditreport.com and get copies from all 3 bureaus.

Go to a bank where you already have accounts and hopefully a good relationship, start with a secured card and work your way up to one that has aline of credit

I'd advise going with a secure card, which means you pony up say $1000 to the company to hold, and that's your limit. You use the credit card, but you won't be allowed to go over what the company has in your account. If you default, the company has that money to get paid back.

Do that for about three years, with on time payments, and you'll be able to get a regular credit card.

I agree with the other bloke. Get a secure card, such as Orchard. Kudos to you for getting your financial life in order, but reconsider getting ANY credit card at the moment. Get your feet firmly on solid financial ground and then see about starting over. Some people, though I am not saying you are one of them, have trouble managing credit and should NEVER have a credit card.

Good luck!

Orchard bank or any card that is a secured credit card

There's one called Horizon Gold Credit Card and it gives you a $3,000.00 unsecured credit limit. The initial fee to open is 45.00 and there's a few other charges like the 14.95 monthly, but all togther to get this credit you only pay like 79.95. I have it and I am enjoying. The web address is horiziongoldcreditcard.com
