What is a good credit card to get so you can restore your credit?

I do not know about a good one necessarily, but the easiest one to get is a gasoline credit card, although with the price of gasoline these days, that may no longer be true. However, those cards historically have had very high interest rates attached to them, too.

So what I would suggest is that - no matter what card you get (and if your credit is bad, like you allude to, any one you get is likely to have a high interest rate) - you pay it off IN FULL every month and avoid the interest charges altogether. This will require some fiscal restraint on your part, and thus will help you to learn how to avoid what got you in credit trouble in the first place. At the same time, it will help to establish you as a trustworthy person who can be counted on to repay his debts in a timely manner.

The rule of thumb: Pay off the HIGHEST rates first, because if you only make minimum payments every month, in the long run you are going to spend more money than you really have - in TWO ways. First: Unless you pay it off every month interest-free, you are going to spend more than you would have if you just paid cash in the first place. And second: If you only make the minimum payments, you are are going to spend what you SHOULD have spent paying off your debts for something else.

This will work for ANY card you get.

http://credcards.maclenet.com - try this one. I personally use their card. As I know it accepts everyone, even if a person has bad credit.

Credit card companies are quick to respond to the growing trend of Internet users by offering online credit card application. As you might have noticed, many credit card companies whether online or offline for that matter, announce they offer the best credit card online, even with instant approval if you apply for it on their website. This method allows the applicant to get approval within a few minutes after submitting the online application form at the company website. Although this isn’t truly instant credit card application, it definitely saves some time when compared to the traditional offline process. The approval process takes only a few minutes, but the credit card company will still need to manually mail you the physical card. This may take up to 10 days before you receive it.

It could take up to a month or two before you receive your credit card if you apply for one via the more tradition ways. You would have to visit the office of the card company personally or call up the customer service hotline to request for an application form to be mail to you. Then, once you have submitted your supporting documents you will need to wait for a reply as the company runs a check on your credit history.

The good thing about applying online for a credit card is that you know if you are approved for it or not within a fairly short time. Another advantage of filling in the application online is that it also allows you the opportunity to compare the cost of credit offered from a lot of different card companies.

There are certain limitations on who is eligible for an instant online credit card application approval. Most instant credit card application offers are targeted to people with good credit records. The competition on the credit market is so high today, that some companies are willing to include people with less than fantastic credit scores in order to get customers. The bottom line is that even if your credit history is not so good, you have the ability obtain an instantly approved credit card. So regardless to what your credit rating is, there is no reason not to use an instant credit card application.

Your credit card application will usually get approved instantly if you maintain a healthy and excellent credit history. However that does not mean that your application will be rejected if you credit history is less than perfect. With so much competition going around in the credit card industry, many companies are willing to take the risk and accept applicants with average credit history. Some of them even provide a card for those people with bad credit.

Before submitting your application online, take the time to do some research. Make sure you visit a legitimate credit card directory to compare card information first. Compare cards and consider the benefits that you want to receive as you do your research. You will also want to read the terms and conditions, yes I know they are enough to put you to sleep, at least once. The important items to take note of are annual fees, interest rate during the introductory period, interest rate after the introductory period, length of grace period and minimum payment amount. Pay particular attention to late payment fees and other unusual penalties. Call up the respective credit card customer service department if you have doubts or any queries with the terms and conditions. Take to time to get the card you want that will serve you the best.

I think one card is as good as another.

I'm not sure what your credit status, but if you need to completely rebuild it, you may need a secured credit card.

That simply means that you give the credit card company $$$ to be worth what ever your credit limit will be.

Once you have a card (secured or regular) use the card for as many things as you can, but treat it as cash. In otherwords, don't swip it unless you have the money NOW....even if you expect to have it when the bill arrives.

When the bill comes, pay the card in FULL.

Do this, month in and month out, and your credit will improve faster than you may think.

Wow, seems like Merle is giving the same identical answer to every question he answers.

Your best bet is to try for a local clothing or jewelry store. American Eagle is easy to get. My son got one and has several baddies on his reports. They want to see that you have a job for at least a year, and make enough to pay. The limit will be small, around 100.00, but if you charge and pay on time, the limit will be raised. This will help your score tremendously.

Do be advised that if the first store turns you down, chances are they all will. The more you apply for, the lower your scores go. So, check your credit report to see where you really stand, then make your plan from there.
Good luck!

Secure credit card thru a bank is the best way. They probably wont charge you an annual fee. Banks like Orchad and those online which give secure credit cards charge anywhere from$29 to $50 a year. Your bank or credit union will probably give you one for no annual fee. But this time dont screw it up!

Go too your personal bank...purchase a "SECURED" credit card. You will have to put 300 or 500 dollars of your own money in a n account and pay to borrow it. After a year of paying on time..you have proved you are trustworthy...then you can get a regular credit card. GOTTA PROVE YOURASELF!!!

MDeal
A good credit card to start with will depend on your credit standing. If you have a bad credit or your credit has been damage, l will suggest Continental Finance Gold MasterCard. I will also recommend you visit http://bestcreditcardratings.com/bad-credit
