hold a job.
don't get into any debt.
make good grades.
if you live in an apt, pay your rent and bills on time.
**WARNING**
A CREDIT CARD IS VERY DANGEROUS. IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE SELF DISCIPLINE OR INCOME TO PAY THE FULL BILL EVERY MONTH, DON'T EVEN CONSIDER ONE.
*****
if you do get a credit card, call them and lower the credit limit to something small like $100 or $50.
if you get into the bad habit of credit card use, you'll end up with worse credit than if you never had one. |

G,
It depends on what type of credit you are talking about. If you mean credit as in a credit card, I would open a student credit card, which are available, and only spend as much as you can afford to pay back. This is very difficult, you have to be disciplined, but if you can discipline yourself to only buy things like gas and occasional food and small items, then pay them back before the month is up, you can build good credit. I wish you luck, of course, and don't do this unless you can NOT buy crazy things and go on spending sprees, because on top of the credit, you will probably have student loans to pay back.
Good Luck ! |

Get a credit card from Sears or a gasoline company and use it off and pay it off every month.
Get a credit card through your college and do the same. The more you use credit and pay it off the better your credit rating is. |

Start with your bank. Then apply online, then department clothing stores. If you don't get any response then you need to, start a savings account and build it up to lets say $5,000.00 dollars. Then loan against it. Take that money and open another account, while paying off the first one. Do this over and over again. This will create a bunch of banks you will have credit at. Increase the amount you save to 10-15K and do it all over again creating a huge credit portfolio. |

get a credit card (they basically give them away at colleges, I did that) and every month put what you can afford on it even if it's $10. then pay it off each month. |

Are you kidding? They throw credit at college students. So all I have to say is be careful. Don't borrow beyond your means. Plenty of young people graduate and already have ruined their credit. |

apply for one. credit card companies and banks frequently give credit cards to college students. Just be sure to pay for any charges you make, or it could come back to bite you later on in life. |

get a credit or debit card and just use it to buy the basic things that you'd usually just pay for with cash like gas food. anything. and pay every month on time. |
