I have only encountered sites such as creditreport.com that force you to give them a credit card # to complete the report. Then you are automatically enrolled in some garbage. If you don't cancel within 30 days, you'll be charged outrageous amounts monthly.

Bdancer is correct. AnnualCreditReport.com allows you to get a free report, once a year, as mandated by law.
