the PIN is mailed to you when you first get the card, but separately from the card itself for security. You can request a new one, but it will take time to receive.
It may be asking for the extra 3-digit number on the back on the card in the signature line to verify the card being in your possession. I've never had a website ask for my PIN on a credit card, only at ATMs. |

You wont find it on your card. For security reasons it comes separately in the post. Contact your bank for a new one. |

Your PIN number is a 4-digit private number between you and your credit card company. You should never need this PIN except in transactions with your credit card issuer.
I would *not* give this PIN to a third-party website, but if you want to know what it is, call your credit card company. They will probably have to issue you one via post mail, or they may ask you to make one up yourself and give it to them over the phone.
Are you sure the website is not asking for the 3-digit CVV (card verification value) on the back of your card, usually near or on the signature pad? This is typically the only number a third-party website would request during a standard credit card purchase. |

Do not give it out!! |

The pin number is NOT WRITTEN on your card. Be careful when going into websites like this--highly likely a SCAM!! |

A PIN number is a personal identification number which is something that credit cards don't have. Only debit cards need a PIN number and companies would never (should never) ask for that -- as it would someone access to use your card anywhere.
There is a 3 digit CVS number on a credit card, which you need to enter when paying for things online and that is found on the back of your card -- to the right. It will be 3 digits alone to the right. |

How old are you and whose card do you have? If its asking for a pin its a debit card, and those pin's get mailed out in a seperate envelope to the rightful recipient. |

When you opened your account you should have set up a PIN (personal identification number). It's not the last four digits, its not the number on the back and its not your birthdate.
You should never give out you PIN number. |

Credit cards do not have PIN numbers, debit cards do. If it is a debit card and you are not very smart, its the 4 digit number you have to plug in at certain retailers, its like a password. |

If you have a visa then you should know the pin. No one will ever ask you for your pin, that includes the bank and police etc.
If you mean the security code for buying stuff online, if you turn your card over to see the signature strip, its the last 3 numbers on the right hand side. |

You should NEVER give out your PIN number on a web site. It's a scam, don't do it. |

You don't have a pin number on a credit card, that would be absolutly insane. Your pin number is the private number only you should know allowing you to make transactions with your card. Never give out your pin number to anyone much less put it on a website. |
