Get a pre-paid card...it will keep you out of debt. With the possibility of student loans, you'll already graduate with debt. Credit cards are typically hight interest bearing and just plain EVIL! |

DISCOVER STUDENT CARD! I have it and love it. No annual fee, a very low apr, and a great rewards program. They also protect you but starting you off with a low limit and gradually increase it each year. Look into applyfastbankcards for applying, they pay you. I got $40 for applying online. |

any card with a low APR, no annual fee.
You should start with a low limit, and pay it off every month... low limit so that if you max it out on accident, you won't be too overwhelmed by the total amount.. say $500
You should have a credit card, rather than prepaid or debit. It is a great tool for learning financial responsibility, and is a great way to start building credit, which will help in the future for things like loans.. Just don't take advantage of it, and pay it off responsibly. |
