There are a wide variety of credit cards designed specifically to help build or improve your credit history. You can find a complete list here:

http://www.asapcreditcard.com/unsecured-offers.html

If you're looking for the best offer, I would highly recommend the Orchard Bank Platinum card. Not only is it extremely competitive when compared to similar unsecured offers for bad credit-- but Orchard will automatically offer you their 'secured' card if you don't qualify for the unsecured offer. This way, you only have to apply once-- and you'll limit the amount of inquiries on your credit report.

Hope this helps. GOOD LUCK!

Bad credit problem can be caused due to a number of situations. The credit card choices available to bad credit people allow them to rebuild their credit history. Financial products that help bad credit people are prepaid credit cards or debit cards, secured bad credit cards, unsecured bad credit cards. In this article we take a look at each one of them.

Prepaid or debit cards:

These are the easiest option available for bad credit people. There are no verifications, no credit checks, no employment requirements, and the approval is instant. All they have to do is to deposit a money and a prepaid card is issued. This card has the borrowing or buying capacity equivalent to the funds deposited. The good thing with prepaid credit card is that it promotes financial discipline. Some prepaid card issuers report to various credit rating agencies, thus it helps in rebuilding your credit history.

Secured bad credit credit cards

These credit cards are issued to bad credit people who can offer a collateral. Generally, offered to homeowners, secured bad credit cards help one rebuild his credit history. The interest rates and borrowing limits on these credit cards are good and favorable for bad credit people. Secured credit cards can also be linked to a savings account in which case it will have a credit limit of some percentage of your savings or money in your account. As the credit card issuer gains confidence with you it can increase your credit limit. Again, if you control your finances and spending, repay on time and do not default your credit history will improve.

Unsecured bad credit credit cards

These credit cards have high fees, which makes them a costly proposition to own. But, the bad credit people have limited choices. If a person with bad credit doesn't have anything to offer as collateral or is unable to buy a prepaid or debit card. This is the only option that remains. However, on a positive note, this unsecured bad credit credit card offers the person a chance to rebuild his credit history. Apply online for a best one at: http://www.credit-card-gallery.com/

NONE!! Pay cash. That's probably why your credit is bad. Or just open a checking account and get a ATM check card. It has a Visa logo and works the same. Plus you'll know not to spend money you don't have.

ORCHARD BANK. I HAD POOR CREDIT AND THEY GAVE ME ONE WITH A LIMIT OF 300 AND NOW I HAVE GOOD CREDIT..

Major credit card issuers like Discover, American Express and Chase offer a credit card for bad credit holders. A 'shopping' card offers you an unsecured line of credit from specific sellers. Use these cards to increase your credit rating, since the credit bureaus will be informed about your timely payments.

Bad credit is one of the worst problems to have... however there exists a solution.

I will hereby talk from my personal experience.

I did debt consolidation a couple of years ago, however If I had to do it again I would pay to some minor details,
if someone wants to get out of debt today it is pretty easy with a debt consolidation plan, however it may get a bit tricky at times, I suggest you get as much information as possible online on this first,

a good place to start in my humble opinion is a straight to the point ebook with question and answer I found :

http://umgarticles.atspace.com/debt-consolidation.htm

if it helps kindly remember me in your voting!.. cheers!

Orchard bank offers one that you pay a fee, you actually put a deposit in an account and your line of credit is equal to your deposit---BUT, when contacting them, make sure they verify to you that they DO report to the credit bureau--- if they don't it's a waste of your time and your money.......the only other thing you can do is NOT use a credit card until your credit is cleared- 7 years all charge offs will drop off your report and then you will be receiving offers like crazy in the mail.........good luck

I have listed a reference below that has a free summary of credit cards for bad credit.

just thought i would throw this out there... my credit is in poor standing... i already applied for crads with orchard bank, secured and unsecured, capital one, mastercard... none of them will approve you. i dont know that i trust other offers from less known companies. if you have a diff card now, like a dept. store or something... start building our credit. im lucky enough to not have closed all my accounts and i have a target card along with other 2 dept. store cards with high credit limits. i use them and then pay them off either immediately or 2 eeks befure due date. so im building my credit back up through that.

pretty much i dont think you will get approved for credit cards.

No credit card, if you have bad credit it will only get worse with another high interest card, You will have to curb your spending and go on a budget until you can get yourself out of debt. Contact Crown Financial, they have a good program to help people to restore their credit and it's free.

A bad credit? Then do not even think about having a credit card. Stay away from it. History could repeat itself.

However, if you think you are no longer a financial menace to yourself, try this: secured credit card. You can choose any credit card type. The catch is, it has to be pledged against a fixed deposit.

Ask your local bank.
