Tight budgeting. No spending money on unessary things. Give things up until everything is paid off. Don't spend money eating out, eat at home instead. Don't buy everything you want, chances are... you don't need them.

SAVE SAVE SAVE

Well, first cut your cards to bits then go from there.

Honestly, consolidation is the solution.

"The combination of a certain number of loans, which benefits the borrower by extending its overall due date and allowing him/her to provide a single monthly payment. Consolidation is a form of financial aid that offers a reasonable and manageable interest rate, which is often average-weighted. "

Pay them off. How else do you expect to get rid of your debt? You racked it up, now pay up. It was your responsibility to pay them back when you agreed to borrow the money. It wasn't a gift!

First, cut them up. Just using it when you need some gas or food here and there will mean they never get paid off.

Second, if you are over the limit on any of them and thus are getting horendous fees that you cant afford or high payments becuase of the overlimit, CALL THEM. You'd be surprised how nice and willing to work with you they are! Tell them exactly how much you can pay....and see if they can waive/reverse some of their penalties.

Third, pay the highest interst cards first, OR if you have any very small cards, pay those completley off and then focus on the next ones.

Its tough, but its well worth it!

First and foremost, cut them up or put them in the freezer. That way the temptation to use them will be minimal. Try living below your means. I know it is hard. But what I have done is buy only what I NEED and not what I want. And really knowing what your needs and wants are is quite simple. Whatever you can save, put it on your cards. Once you see the balances going down, you will feel so good. Good luck.

What the hell did you think it was free money. Pay them off and by that I mean don't pay the minimum payment. If you do that you'll be an old lady before you finally pay off.

Shorty
Cut up your cards. Pay much more than the minimal amount due each month. This will lower your amount much faster than paying just the minimum. By the time you know it you'll be done.

Start paying them off - as much as you can afford without shorting other bills. Best to pay more than the minimum if at all possible!
