What is the diffrence between credit card & debit card ?

Debit cards subtract the money directly out of a checking account at the time of purchase (it is if you were paying cash, but safer in that you can use them in other countries, don't have to carry cash etc).

A credit card "loans" you the money to make a purchase and sends you a bill at the end of the cycle. They charge you hefty interest to do this--up to 22%--if you do not pay it off before the next cycle begins. You have protection against unscrupulous sellers in that you can file a claim against the seller if the merchandise doesn't arrive etc.

A debit card takes directly from your checking or savings a credit card is like an unsecured loan. You charge what you want with a credit limit and make payments on it. Many have high interest rates.

Debit card takes money from funds you have in your account while a credit card puts credit that you pay back with interest later

you can only use money of your bank account by DEBIT CARD..

By credit card.. u can have credit of 45 days.. within limit specified by Bank..you have to pay before due date else you will be charged heavy interest & Late payment fees..

Credit card is a loan where the balance goes up each time a transaction posts, unless you pay it in full before the due date each month. Interest rates vary from about 12% to 30+%.

Debit card is like writing a check, only faster to settle. The funds are immediately transferred from your account linked to the debit card.

That's the quick answer-lots more on interest rates and billing cycles for credit cards, transaction fees for merchants (usually 1-3%) etc.

Debit only lets you spend to the max you already have in the bank, a credit lets you spend to the max of your credit limit and charges you 22% intrest untill you pay it back.

A credit card is one that advances you money and you have to pay it back with interest. A debit card draws the money straight from your checking or savings account.

A debit card is charged by money in your checking account. if the money is there, you're good to go, if not it will be rejected. a credit card has a limit on it, say 10,000, which is loaned, basically to you to pay back with interest.

With a debit card the money comes out of your checking accounting, a credit card is essentially a loan with high rates of interest and are subject to late fees over the limit fees etc.To establish credit it is best to get a credit card with NO annual fee and 0% apr and buy something you already use or need like gas or food and pay the bill in FULL when you receive it.Hope this helps.

Credit card means banks offering credit to you for a sudden limit to spend on the outlets. They are charging for our purchases and cash withdrawals.

Debit card means we can spend money on the outlets for the amount how much on our account only we can spend. There is no charges for this.

If you have any doubts, I can answer you.

Credit card is a card that you use to buy things using money that is not yours. If you have a Capital One Visa credit card, Capital One is lending you the money to buy things everytime you use your Capital One Visa credit card. Then they send you a bill telling you how much money you spent and telling you that you have to pay them back. You can pay them back all at once, and not have any interest charges on the credit card, or pay them over time, and have interest charges. Using a debit card takes money out of a bank account that you have that is linked to the debit card. It is your own money that you are using, and you will be able to use the debit card to buy anything, as long as you have the money in the account to cover your debit card purchases. A debit card, you are using your own money, a credit card, you are using someone else's money (until you get the credit card bill), but either way, you ultimately are paying for using either.

With credit card you get a credit between 15 to 50 days and pay thereafter . You may even differ payment further by paying some interest.
When you use debit card your bank account is directly debited and if do not have have enough money, it will not be honoured.

two_kee_kees
A debit card is usually issued by your bank, and is a glorified checking account. When you use your debit card, the money is directly taken out of your account. You pay money immediately. A credit card gives you an amount of money (credit line) and you can use up to that amount. When you use a credit card, you are using "borrowed money" to pay for your purchase. You will have to pay that money back later. If you don't pay back the full amount you've charged, a finance charge will be tacked on.

Debit cards are for morons who cannot control their spending. The bank is making money while giving you your money!

Credit cards are for people who have a brain and understand all about assets and free money!

BTW I never pay a penny in interest (finance charges) ever! Never have, or never will!
