Well you could try taking out short term loans and paying them back ahead of schedule, also credit cards, but you must use them on a regular basis and pay them off in full at the end of the month.
Also, make sure that your salary is paid directly into your bank account by your employer.
Under no circumstances pay bills late, especially utility bills. |

1) pay your bills on time
2) pay more than the minimum
3) do not apply for credit cards prior to the home loan
4) check your credit rating regularly and dispute any errors |

Don't close any open credit card accounts. Pay off as much debt as you have, the bank will want to see that you have available credit and that you aren't using it. If you have any collection accounts they should be your first priority, pay them off in full, and ask that they provide you with proof of this just in case it isn't immediately updated on your credit report. Eliminate as much outstanding debt as possible, the bank will look at your debt to income ratio, they want to see if you are overextended. Pay all your bills the minute they come in, and maintain a positive payment history. I was able to raise my credit score by 100 points in about a month by doing all those things, and I looked at my credit report and essentially disputed every bad item on it, while it wasn't necessarily because I didn't owe the debt, I was able to get several items removed as a result. |

Find out why your score is low.
If it's low because of things like reporting errors, current collections, unpaid bills, taxes, etc., resolving these issues could be done relatively fast and it will result in a quick improvement to the score. Paying off credit accounts will also have a fast positive effect.
On the other hand, if it's because there is not enough history on file, of there are past deliquencies, only time will improve the score. |

You can get a home loan without a credit score. It's called manual underwriting. It's not a sub prime loan. It's the way home loans were givin' before all the credit score worship. You can get the lowest interest rates avalilable. |

Assuming you have credit cards and other wise established credit, the following tip is for you.
Last year when I was trying to refinance my home, I increased my FICO by about 40 points (which is all I needed) by the following tip. First you will need a mortgage company that can do a rapid rescore (which will cost you a few bucks.) The reason is that credit card companies report on a schedule which is generally monthly, so if you don't rescore it then your results will be much smaller.
The easiest and fastest way to increase your score is by your credit card balances. Each credit card that has more than 30% balance vs limit on it has a significant negative impact on you FICO score. The next major impact is at 50%. So, if you can strategically pay down (but not neccessarially off) your credit cards, you can change your credit score by a hundred points. Some mortgage companies can tell you very specifically what you need to do to accomplish the desired result. |

A good way to raise your credit score is to apply for a prepaid credit card. you put a couple hundred bucks on it every month. use a portion of the pre-paid balance every month and pay it off completely always maintaining a positive balance on the balance and thus establishing a credit history. thats assuming you have no credit rating or a less than favorable one. first find out exactly what your credit rating rating is. Go to the bank that you deal with establish a relationship with them ask them that very same question. They can lead you in the right direction. where im from a company called equifax is a credit rating info service that will tell an individual there credit standing simply by contacting them and its free. I assume there would be a similar service where you are. |
