What is the meaning of APR in bank terminology?

Puma Academy
APR or the Annual Percentage Rate is the interest rate charge on your loan. This figure takes into account not only the interest payable over the term of the loan but also any other related charges or fees. As such it’s the best measure for comparing the cost of borrowing from one lender to another.

It stands for Annualised Percentage rate, that is the true rate of interest that applies to the amount owed allowing for the effect of repayments reducing the principal sum over time.

ok as 1st person said, annual interest rate.... an example
if you have 12% a.p.r. and you borrow £100 over a year... if you pay back in full, in monthly installments over a 12 month period. total cost of creit is £12, as total repayable is £112!
hope this make sense
