Without Algebra, you would not have any computers, T.V's, Electronics of any sort... we would still be in stone age.
You WILL use it sometime in your life, I asked that question when I was in high school... now as a programmer analyst, I do algebra every day of my life. |

Solving everyday problems that occur in real life.
Things like knowing what time to leave home in order to be at a concert on time.
It may not look like algebra, you will not see "x" and "y". But they will be there with different names. |

some of it does have use out side the classroom. however, the main purpose is to share the information for the progress of humankind. without it, we would be less intelligent. im not a math wiz or anything , but i do appreciate it just the same. blessed be. |

Well, you've got to learn it if you want to go to college! Lots of professions use advanced mathmatics like algebra on a daily bases. Scientists, carpenters, plummers, professional gamblers LOL. |

It helps develop problem solving skills by learning how to take a set of known answers and using them to figure out the unknown. |

There is so many uses that I might not be able to answer all of them.
Business uses it find the right price to sell items.
Medical. They would need know the right dosage to name one thing they need.
I mention on those two, but almost every profession needs to know something to be more productive and do less of trail and error method. |
