It all would depend on the amount of the mortgage and the term. Find out exactly what amount you would want financed. The shorter the term the better and lower the interest rate. For example, in Charleston- a 150K loan 15yr fixed rates lowest average percentage is at 3%.... whereas a 30yr fixed, the lowest is a 5.875% try lending tree.com you'll have an answer in less than a day from several lenders....Yes....even with your bankruptcy in 03.... you'd be amazed. |

I had a bankruptcy back in 2001. My husband and I bought a house in 2004, and my credit score was about 700 as well. We had no problem getting the low interest rates that were available at the time. You have a fairly large down payment too, so depending on the cost of the house you want to buy, you should have no problems getting the lower rates. I think the standard rate right now is about 5.5-6.5%. |

Well if you haven't been discharged from your bankruptcy usually 7-10 years you may still be able to qualify if you've had a good re-payment history for the last 2-3 years.
Depending on the lender they may have mercy on your current credit or make you pay for your past. Shop around and use a credible broker. |
