Availing a credit card is not a big deal. These days, many and many people access more than one credit card. Various credit card agencies, banks are eager to sell their cards. But in order to get a right credit card, credit card rate should be taken into account.
While availing a credit card, it is necessary to check the credit card rate. This rate plays an inevitable part, as based on this rate your payment amount is decided. Various credit cards are available with different rate. Every time, consumers try to choose a credit card at a lower interest rare.
Most of the time, it is seen that while choosing a credit card, people generally check whether the rate is low or not. But a low rate cannot be the only consideration in availing a credit card. Besides rate, a consumer should heed in other factors as well. Remember, though various credit card companies entice consumers with low interest rates; at the same time, they include various hidden costs and charges with a credit card as well. So, do not only verify the interest rate, but also consider other things while availing a credit card.
Many a time, credit card companies offer low rate for a specific period of time. Such low rates are considered as an introductory offer of various companies. In such cases, check how long the offer will last. After the period is over, verify what the interest rate will be, whether it will be affordable for you or not etc. Read more about it at: http://www.credit-card-gallery.com/article/132,Credit_Card_Rate_Better_Opportunity_At_The_Best_Rates |

First, no yearly dues. Since I know you will always pay it in full each month, the interest rate is not as important. Look for the best rewards offered. You might get a visa and a discover to have more places accept it. |

Assuming you'll pay your balance in full each month, you'll want the rewards card that pays you the most in rewards for your normal spending.
To see which student credit card will pay you the most for your normal categorical spending profile, you can use the rewards calculator at:

The best credit card is the one being used by the smart consumer.
Obviously, don't spend money you don't have. Interest sucks. Your $200 leather jacket will be $350 by the time you pay if off. Use the card because it's easier than carrying cash, and then pay the whole bill when it comes.
A credit card is great because it's more secure than cash and easier to use. Federal law says you don't owe for charges if you lose the card.
You should expect to get something back for using the card. Video rentals, gas discounts, cash back, "points" towards travel, etc. Expect to get about 2% back in some sort of reward. Choose carefully.
Airline miles are useless if you don't travel or don't spend thousands of dollars per month to earn a free ticket.
There are good cards through Blockbuster or Amazon. You can earn free videos or books. Citibank offers a card that gives you 1% to 2% back in cash at grocery stores, gas stations, and drug stores.
Also, some of the airline miles cards charge a yearly fee. Most other cards are free. Free is good. |

You might want to consider a 'student' credit card. You can find a complete list here:
http://www.asapcreditcard.com/student-cards.html
Consider the interest rate first. Then, look for a 0% APR to help save some money on interest. If you'd like a reward program, you'll have a higher APR. But if you plan on paying your balance in full each month-- you'll avoid the higher interest charges altogether. Here's an article that will provide more insight on 'choosing the best credit card':

Hope this helps. GOOD LUCK! |

there is no such thing as a low interest credit card. Save your money and pay for stuff with a debit card. No interest. |

No yearly dues and very low interest payments. As a student it is definatly NOT a wise move to get a credit card. I know you are bombarded with them as I work at a university. They are setting you up for a financial fall big time. Think twice then a third time. I have one card now and literly keep it frozen in a baggy in a block of ice in my freezer. Makes me think many times before I thaw it to will use it. It can come in handy if your car breaks down though. Otherwise spend only what you earn for now. Please don't start out life in debt. |

Low intrest rates and no junk fees. |

a good credit card has a low intrest rate and fair payback time periods. However, i would reccomend a student loan as opposed to a credit card if you are using it for College stuff. Go to google.com and type STUDENT LOANS and see where that takes you. If you are not going to use it for school stuff try and get a card with a base intrest rate between 20 and 25% at most. |
