You need to hire someone to steal it and total it. Make sure they set it on fire or something. You don't want to get stuck making payments on a wrecked quad. Also, you'll have to kill this person before you collect the insurance money. But that's just common sense, right? Oh... wait...did you mean a "legal" solution? Never mind.

You better try to sell it for enough to pay off the balance owed!! You're welcome!!

if you continue to make the new payments on time then your credit score will be better because your high monthly credit will be higher than before, if you can go to bank and refi the loan at a better deal that may help if payments are to high now, but if not and payments are to high consider selling or trading in for a lower payment deal.

tom_nearhood
Call the finance co. and ask them why, see if you can arange for a lower payment. It will affect your credit if you let it go back. Try selling it to another enthusiast, tell the finance co.and the dealer of your plans if you can't make any arrangements with the finance co.

well on the plus side even if it messes your credit it goes off the record in 10 years

WOW!

Refinance it. This time, make sure you get a good deal. You are doing them a favor by giving them your business, noty the other way around.

Make sure you read ALL of the fine print on the loan papers, no matter how tedious and boring. Banks like to hide stuff in fine print.

Call your finance company and ask how much it would cost if your parents finaced one. Since you are young, and accidents are high with young people, statistically speaking, they will charge you more the younger you are. If you can put the vehicle under your parent's name it will most likely cost less to finance it. By the way, nice picture.

Hammertime
It will not affect your record unless you are delinquent on your payments, it also depends on your debt to income ratio if you are applying for credit somewhere..Try and sell the unit if you cannot afford it...

Duffsta
Won't permenatly ruin ur record but will affect ur record for about 5 years, you could probably think about refinancing at a lower repament.
