you may not go to jail, but, it will be on your record. especially, if they take you to court and you don't go. they will obtain a judgement against you and that will surely appear on your credit report and your criminal record.
they are ruthless when you don't pay; so don't make that mistake. contact them and work out a payment schedule or installments. take care of your credit. you need it to get a good job, get an apartment, get utilities turned on, and even to get a cell phone. bad credit is hard to fix, so don't let those bills get the best ot you...................... |

no, your credit score is effected, and in the future you probably won't be able to get cheap loans. ie you will pay a high interest rate.
You will not go to jail though. |

First your credit rating goes in the toilet. Second depending on how much you owe they can garnish your wages. If you had a co-signer they will go after them. |

i dont think so,..... they will take either what you bought on the card and take you to court and get payments ordered thru the court, or you can settle with them~ arranage to keep everything if you pay whatever both parties agree on... or you could file bankruptcy, then you will have the opportunity to rebuild your credit again, sooner than if you dont do anything about the debt cuz you can only file bankruptcy every 10 years..... |

No,they can't put you in jail for not paying your credit cards bills. At least not in the USA.
They can sue you but that usually doesn't happen. Probably the worst that will happen is your credit will be messed up because of it. The accounts will become charge offs and collections. It will take a long time to repair the damage to your credit, so if I were you I would pay these bills. |

You won't go to jail, but it will ultimately destroy your credit rating. Credit cards are for convenience or emergencies. CC companies love to extend credit to people who rack up charges and can only make minimum payments, where a small amount is applied to the principle. Use credit cards carefully, pay them off as soon as possible to avoid the high interest rate. |
