In addition to filing a police report, and putting a fraud alert on your credit report, you should also get a credit monitoring service like the ones here (http://www.creditimes.com/credit-report.html ). For a small fee of around $9-10 per month, it is well worth the money vs the hassles and costs of dealing with credit fraud and identity theft.
I hope that you still have time to get this resolved, the farther along this goes, the harder it is to deal with down the road. Luckily you have caught it, that is the first step. |

id loose it on them like i would freak that could put you in jail...never own a house,,,..never have credit until YOU pay it off and then some...had someone buy a car with my license and then did a hit and run..guess who paid the price.....call the cops ...go to a financial ad visor etc |

Take immediate action now or you will spend many years cleaning the mess up. For starters, place a freeze on your name/SSN with all three credit bureaus - that prevents any new credit from being granted unless it is verified with you first. Also have them place an identity theft/fraud alert in your record.
Dispute everything in your record that isn't really yours. This may get the guilty party in trouble, but they deserve it. |
