Bad credit problem can be caused due to a number of situations. The credit card choices available to bad credit people allow them to rebuild their credit history. Financial products that help bad credit people are prepaid credit cards or debit cards, secured bad credit cards, unsecured bad credit cards. In this article we take a look at each one of them.
Prepaid or debit cards:
These are the easiest option available for bad credit people. There are no verifications, no credit checks, no employment requirements, and the approval is instant. All they have to do is to deposit a money and a prepaid card is issued. This card has the borrowing or buying capacity equivalent to the funds deposited. The good thing with prepaid credit card is that it promotes financial discipline. Some prepaid card issuers report to various credit rating agencies, thus it helps in rebuilding your credit history.
Secured bad credit credit cards
These credit cards are issued to bad credit people who can offer a collateral. Generally, offered to homeowners, secured bad credit cards help one rebuild his credit history. The interest rates and borrowing limits on these credit cards are good and favorable for bad credit people. Secured credit cards can also be linked to a savings account in which case it will have a credit limit of some percentage of your savings or money in your account. As the credit card issuer gains confidence with you it can increase your credit limit. Again, if you control your finances and spending, repay on time and do not default your credit history will improve. Have seen lots of people asking info on bad credits. Well, if you need to get your problem solved on<!--bad credit, you must know to how to confront it. Of course, Even if you have bad credit, you can get loans. Many factors can contribute to someone getting a "bad credit" rating, among these are non-payment of an account or late payments over an extended length of time. Take a look on
http://badcredits.awardspace.com/
You can easily be labelled as a bad credit risk by financial companies. This can make it more difficult to-->arrange loans or other finance, and usually means you will pay more interest on any loan you take out. |

the biggest thing is to get current with whatever debt you have... once you pay stuff off don't close off all your credit cards.. proving to other lenders that you are capable of having a credit card and can be responsible goes a long way on your credit report... |

I am a New Jersey Bankruptcy attorney. After filing for bankruptcy, people always ask me how they can begin to rebuild their credit. You must realize that in order to rebuild credit, you must take out some kind of credit. This means that you need to have a credit card (preferably only one) and make the monthly payments on time. Charge your groceries, gas, etc. on this card. Make sure you can afford to make the full payment of what you charge on that card, else you are not helping your credit. If you cannot get a credit card, you can begin to rebuild your credit by applying for a secured credit card. This is similar to a regular credit card, but you will have to place some amount of money in an account and the bank will match that. Try applying for think and rebuild your credit with that for several months and then try applying for a regular credit card. I wish you luck. If you have any questions or want to read more on rebuilding your credit, please visit my site: http://www.njbankruptcyfirm.com or contact me. |

The best way if somebody willing to help you and put your name and SS# on some of there credit card, the one they have for few years.
If not maybe they willing to open credit card for you and put your name as a second user. If you do not have any body like this. Than you should go to your bank and ask them to open a secure card for you, it's mean that you put $500.00 in the bank and they will give you a credit card with a limit $500.00 and if you pay this card in time, they will increase the line after 12 month and release your $500.00. After you get this card wait for 3-4 month and apply for another card at gas station, Target, TJmax, or try to buy furniture at Harlem for example, they usually very good in this. After this every bank will willing to give credit. Good Luck! |

Okay you have a lot of answers here- so let me tell you as someone with experience who helped someone regain credit after bankruptcy.
Pull your credit report and make sure what is on them is correct- go to :
experian.com
transunion.com
equifax.com
if there is wrong information dispute it with the bureau to have it fixed.
you may have a low score for previous bad payments or lack of history so start building positive history
to do that:
first off you need to have some open credit n your report- the banks that will give you cards with bad credit are:
Orchard Bank
First Premier Bank
Applied Card Bank
Imagine Bank
Some required deposits and all charge a high rate and fees because with bad credit you are a risk to them
Open 2 to start and keep the balance no more than 50% of the limit- make sure to always pay on time. One you have maintained them for about 6 months ask for a credit limit increase. Then apply for another card.
The most I would open is 4 - you need for accounts or what they call tradelines when you apply for things liek a mortgage but the idea is to show you can manage your open accoutns and get back on track.
Pull your reports 2x a years and verify everything is accurate and if not dispute it.
Do this and get yourself back on track- good luck |

You need to get a copy of your credit report. A new law enacted last year states you are allowed 1 free copy of your credit report from either of the 3 credit bureaus. It will not give you a score but it will show your complete credit history. There may be mistakes on your report that will hinder you from obtaining credit. Once you have the report then you will know. For a small charge you can also get your credit score. Do not go to freecreditreport.com it is a scam. They mess around with you till you are tricked into spending money with them. Check out freeannualcreditreport.com that site will help you with getting a free credit report and will ask you for no money. |

Ask a friend if you can be a co-signer. That will help to rebuild your credit. It is important to know your score. Go to equifax to get free copy of your credit report. |

To Repair credit score
Your credit score is based mostly on:
1. Length of credit history
2. Payment history.
3. Ratio of credit used to available credit.
4. Number of credit inquiries you authorized.
If you cancel your card, you'll be hurting your credit ratio. (#3).
You want to deliberately keep your oldest credit card open, even if you never use it.
You want to always pay the minimums of each loan on time every month.
You want to keep your available credit high, but actually only have balances equalinig 25% or less.
You want to keep your credit inquiries to a minimum. Try for no more than 3 or 4 per year for any type of loans.
You do these things and your credit score will quickly soar into the 700s.

If you have no outstanding debt and just can't get approved for a card, try financing something small at a dept. store.... like sears or jcpenney... buy something say for $300, apply to put it on one of the store cards, and if you get approved, split the bill in 2 and pay $150 each month. Then buy something new and do this a few times.... if you buy and pay off immediately you aren't building credit, you have to have an outstanding balance and pay monthly for it to matter. |
