I think I saw some cards at the following site that are for people in your situation. You can get a card now if you apply online and get approved instantly. Its not that hard really.
Once you get your card through the following site, make sure to make full payments on time every month. This will build your credit the fastest. Good luck! |

I think the easiest credit cards to get are gas credit cards. They start off with a low limit because you only use it for gas.
Having a credit card just for gas, if it's your first card, will also help you manage the credit you are putting on it. You won't be running up the bill with random purchases potentially getting into debt.
My first card was a shell gas card. I was pre-approved because I had been using my debt card at the pump. A few months later, I was able to signup for any credit card I wanted.

I wouldn't suggest making a barrage of credit applications and praying that someone takes a chance on you. This won't likely work because you have no verifiable credit.
What you can do right away and with relative ease is
1. Open a bank account, start saving
2. Get a secured credit card with Orchard Bank or Capital One for as much as you can $500 or more and keep your credit habits pristine by not spending more than 25% of the limit, paying in full and paying on time.
Within the year you're likely to qualify for unsecured credit.
Apply for credit sparingly. Two years is ideal. |

Apply for a few cards, see if you can get one. Do you have a bank account? Go to your own bank and get a prepaid credit card or discuss options with them. They might give you a card with a low limit of say $500 to see how you do in keeping your payment current. |

Talk to a bank about credit card options.
start using your card for small purchases. Pay the bill ON TIME and eventually your limit will go up...you'll have credit history. |
