When can they send the Bailiffs round?
I am currently in arrears with a few creditors. At present I have set up payments of a lesser value with them.

Can they only send Bailiffs round if you pay them NOTHING, or can they send them round anyway if I'm not paying as much as I should. Even if I decided to only pay them £1 per month.

Once you are in agreement with the companies they cannot send bailifs round - FACT.

If you are going to pay them £1.00pm then make sure your income and expenditure shows that this all you can afford. keep copies of all correspondance and reciepts should you not be paying via your bank account.

Companies will not take you to court (although they may threaten it) if you offer some form of payment although with such a small amount they will review it a 3 / 6 months but you just need to change the date on your income and expenditure to show you are in the same situation.

If you contact The National Debtline for an information pack it has copies of letters for you to send to the companies with all the correct wording in. it also tells you all of the laws surrounding debt and your rights.

Hope this helps x

They will try to bully you,and hint that you will go to prison etc and That they have god and the courts on their side, and that they can take your goods, usual bully boy stuff.Tell them you are dealing with your creditors direct.Do not let them, get to you,or let them into your home. They are one of the lowest life forms on the planet.Remember to scream very loudly and say he/they touched you up or pushed you about. They will then crawl off back to the nearest sewer.....................

Unless you completely stop paying altogether that is when they usually start sending bailiffs around. If you can only afford to pay less then the agreed amount that is better than nothing!

as long as you pay what you can afford, they cant touch you, good luck.

You must pay your creditors the agreed minimum amount, if you are still finding this difficult contact them and arrange another amount. If you simply stop paying they will consider this a breach of contract and probably send in the bailiffs. Could you consolidate all your credit into one payment with another company? make sure it is a low interest rate or what about transfering all the balances into a 0% interest card this will at least allow you time to pay without interest mounting up, I do this all the time (I never pay interest), there are plenty out there. DO NOT BE BULLIED!!! go to your nearest citizans advice bureau they will help you.

Get to your local citizens advice and get them to make a payment plan in your favour with your creditors, a lot of the debt can be written off but you must stick to the agreed payment plan and not mess them about. If you do this your creditors will stop hassling you and the bailiff will not come to you.

It's up to the court.

You do not state the size of your debts, though it seems you have several creditors and are trying to repay as little as possible in order to keep the Bailiffs from your door, Bad idea, Best advice. Stop any further credit purchases, total up your debts, try to arrange a single loan at reasonable interest pay off your "few" creditors, Also don't spend more than you can afford to repay
