Magnun S | When do i have to pay for my credit card bill? |
I got a credit card last week and i have no interest untill june, does that mean i can wait until june to start paying the bill. My minimum payment is 0.
Thank you |

Your minimum payment due is $0 as you mentioned so no you do not have to make any payments until June when your promotion ends. Although I would highly recommend that you make some form of payment otherwise come June you'll be due for some absurd amount that you can't afford in one payment which would then lead to credit card debt and loads of fun. Sorry, I'll stop before I start ranting any more. |

If you've got a balance on your card, you are going to have to at least pay a portion of it, it should tell you what that is on the bill. |

If you charge something on the card, then you will have to pay something the next month, by your due date. Having no interest until June just means that you will not accrue interest charges until then - not that you can completely ignore the bill until then.
You should really learn about cards in general and research cards specifically before getting one. |

Keep an eye on your bill. Just because there is no interest doesn't mean you won't have a payment due. Maybe they'll wait til next month to have a payment due. Also, when you have interest free loans, when the interest does hit, it generally tacks on ALL the interest from the past 6 months you had no interest. It's a shItty scheme, but thats how its usually done, so try to pay it off before the six months is up, or you'll probably be paying for 6 months back interest as well as current interest. |

Your billing cycle hasnt ended yet. So when you make a charge and your billing cycle ends then they will send you a bill and it is usually 20 to 25 days after the billing cycle ends. But it always helps to pay early. Try looking for the end of your billing cycle online |

No, you pay your bill every month regardless of the o% thing. That just means that you will not be charged any interest on you purchases until June. It is the credit card co. way of enticing you to charge up your card. in June you will start getting charged interest on any unpaid balance. try not to charge any more than you can pay off in a month. If you pay your full balance every month you wont ever have to worry about interest. |

Well it matters what your plan is with that credit card company. Even though there is no interest on the card when you begin to spend on it sometimes they require for you to pay a very small amount, but once again it matters who the card is by. It may be better for you to call the Customer Service number on the back of the card so you will know every detail of your credit card. It is very important so that you will not slip up and miss a payment or a small print detail , that way your credit will stay well.
Hope that helps!

If you purchase something with your credit card you will need to pay at least the minimum balance of the purchase every month.
They will not charge you any intrest on the things you buy till June.
The best way to go about these types of credit cards, is to make sure you have completly paid off your debt before June comes around. That way you are only "borrowing" money from them and you will have no additional charges taxed on..... ie: Interest! |

Nooo not usually. If it's a credit for furniture (like Art Van or Lazy Boy) and it's zero interest until June and it says ON YOUR STATEMENT that the minimum payment is zero, then you don't have to pay until June. Make sure you know, though, that sometime if you don't pay it in full by June, the interest you would have been paying on gets tacked on--so if you would have been paying $5 in interest every month, and you don't pay the balance by June, you'll have to pay the principle + the number of months * interest monthly. Make sure you read it over, or just call the customer service number and ask. A lot of cards differ.
If not....you have to pay it monthly! You'll get a statement in the mail with a due date and minimum payment on it. Make sure you pay as much off as you can each time! Mail it at least a week before it's due or pay it online two days before it's due so it has time to process. |

Most credit cards with zero percent interest still require you to pay a minimum amount. It is just that this minimum amount is all principal.
You should never use a credit card with the expectation that no money will be due for several months, or a year. A Credit Card is a substitute for cash and should be paid off, in full, before the due date on the bill. If you cannot do this, then you should make an aggressive plan to pay off that balance in a much shorter timeframe than the minimum payments would allow you to do (e.g. payoff in 1 year vs. the 5 years the minimum payment would allow you to do). |
