Please refer to the Fair Credit Reporting Act (see below). Debts must be removed from your report after 7 years, starting from the date of the delinquency.

They will clear when you pay them or file bankrupts. They are debts they you caused. They will not go away. They're are businesses they can help you settle debts. get on the Internet and do some research.

It is supposed to be in 7 years but the bureaus are behind therefore, it usually takes longer. You can challenge negative items before the 7 years are up or after if you want to try to get them removed. This process is called credit repair. Many people will tell you that you can do this yourself. You can with a little help. The key is to have the language of your letters correct. The wrong verbage will get you thrown into a turndown stack and possibly blacklisted. Additional tips will help you as well. I have had success with a do it yourself credit repair kit that costs less than $20…….a much better solution to those firms charging per month or $699 for a program. Good luck.

the creditor only has 4 yrs to recollect from you any amount owed to them. the clock starts ticking when you stop making payments, agreements in writing or verbal, or having activity on the account. after 4 yrs, they write it off and cannot legally collect anything.
bad credit information is immediately removed from your credit report aft 7yrs of being reported.
hope this helps

in most cases bad credit stays with you 7-10 yrs.unless of course there is a judgment on ur credit from one of the creditors which then may be on for more time, depending if they renew the credit history with credit reporting agencys.

Anywhere from 7 to 10 yrs UNLESS some other company buys your "bad" credit things from the original then it starts all over again----------------this is when ya need an attorney that works strictly with helping people get the credit problems taken care of

When you pay it, or file bankruptcy.
Most bad credit ratings stay on your record for at least 10 yrs.
