daytime d | When repairing your credit is it worth having credit monitioring it cost $9.95 a month? |
|
|

Chane

Lots of realllly ignorant answers. Credit monitoring is one of the smartest things you can do. Especially while repairing your credit.
$9.95 is less than $120 a year....by having good credit you can save hundreds of thousands of dollars over a 30 year mortgage.
You can save $5k-$10k on a car loan and so on...life sucks with bad credit. |

I've done it and I would say its a waste after the first month.. maybe check it every 6 months |

Yes it is worth it if you are fixing or repairing your credit. I have it from all three credit companies for 12.95 a month. Until this process is finished I would keep in order to see if the credit repair tools are working. I get an alert every time a new account or change or even a score increase apears on my report. If you aren't having problems with your credit, i wouldn't bother with it. maybe check it every 6months to a year. |

Not worth it.
Each of Your creditors send You statements each month (or should) so read the transaction detail and make sure there is no theft going on.
There are 3 credit reporting agencies, EACH is required to give You a free credit report once a year. So check Your report every 4 months.
Once from Equifax, 4 months later from TransUnion, then 4 months later from Experian...4 months later You are in a New year, so go back to Equifax... |

Credit monitoring is more to watch and see if someone is stealing your identity than it is to help you repair your credit.
There are credit counselors you can go to that will work with you on what you need to do. Look for one that's a non profit - they get paid by creditors to help people like you. It's one way they "give back" (if that's what you want to call it) for gouging people with high interest rates and fees. |

no way, thats way too much, you don't need to monitor your credit as long as you pay your bills on time, you know your credit will only be improving, why pay for something you don't need? |
|

 |
i would say to watch your credit report to make sure everything is being reported right. |

No! The top 3 credit bureas allow you I free check a year and anytime that you apply for any type of credit and you get denied you can check it then as well. If your credit is that bad then adding another $10.00 is not very smart |

Yes, it is. It helps you stay aware of what is going on as you try to repair and rebuild your credit. I use the one with Experian and it has really helped me stay focus because I am a credit card addict and I have really benefited from the credit monitoring because I CAN SEE the damage I am doing. Do the 30 day trial, I am sure you will agree. |

Yes, but even better there are agency help you build your credit fast. They have the similar subscription. Unless, you are a credit guru, I would recommend using them. Just google them. |

no. I would think that should be 4 people with great credit and afraid of fraud, it'll take a while 4 your credit 2 get good, so u still dont have much 2 loose |
