Use the credit option. If you use your pin, your bank will charge you a fee. Also, someone might see your pin when you enter it.

Some banks will charge a fee if you use the debit card option. When using a credit card the store pays the fee.

Does not really matter. It all depends on your bank. If your bank is charging you a pin transaction fee. Then try to use the credit option most of the time if possible.

Using a Credit Option will take longer for it the hard post, but money is put on Hold immediately until the merchants sends it through or until the hold is removed in about 7 to 14 days. Whichever comes first.

A few merchants in the U.S. also charge a pin transaction fee.

Just for info. Some banks allow a certain amount of free pin transaction before charging you a pin fee.

Pin transaction fee can range from 25 cents to $2.50 with banks.

unless you have a free debit option with your bank, use the credit option otherwise they charge you something like $1 for every purchase you make

BRIAN B
Your bank could charge you a fee if you use the debit option.

When you put in your pin the money comes directly out of your account that second. When you choose credit, the money takes a few days to take out. So it doesn't really matter, but it's probably better to use credit so know one could see your pin.

Porfi
hey its way better to use credit when your using a bank debit card because it will take 3days to hit the bank which means if u dont got the money you got 3 days to find it

pamomof4
If you put in your PIN it comes out of your account immediately. If you choose the credit option it takes a day or 2 to clear from your account.

I would use a credit card to earn points, as long as you pay it off monthly. This in addition to points, builds a solid FICO and credit card history for you. It's also nice to pay one big bill at the end of the month. The debit card, use it only if it gives you more back in return than your credit card does. Always treat both of them as if you had cash. So you don't let your debt out grow you.
Regarding PIN -- keep it safe and secure. Too often they are being hacked. And the more times you use it the more often it could happen...you are protected somewhat..but the hassle to clear your name/credit/debit etc..and how it can impact your finances isn't fun.

prabhat_shcil
you have to put ur pin
