In the world of auto finance it really does not matter. You can put down LWP lives with parents and $0 for rent but the lender is going to factor in $300.00 a month just because they know you are not going to be living with your parents forever. |

They only want to know if you own your home so they can potentially attach it as an asset (and possibly to verify monthly expenses you may have that are associated with it.)
List "rent", because you do NOT own an interest in the space you occupy.
However, I should also add that, in my humble opinion, you don't need to be applying for credit if you're still mooching off the 'rents. (That's generally a good way to make sure you end up stuck there after you dig yourself a nice amount of debt!) |

If your "only" options are renting or owning put down renting, then under comments anywhere, indicate you live with your parents and there is no option for LWP (living with parents) because of course you are no where near an owner right?
So, they need to adjust their application, not your fault, they'll call you.
put down a small amount of rent because I'm sure you'll have to "fill in that blank" also,
so when and if they contact you, inform them of this via the phone. |
