yes some do check your credit.
especially anything to do with money or privacy of clients.
there is a worry for the temptation that if you have bad credit/money problems you might be tempted to skim, take bribes, or other not so nice things to better your own situation
the police dept runs extensive back grounds and has not hired very qualified people bcse they have bad credit.

They can, I dont think most jobs do but its possible. However I beleive they have to notify you before hand and have you sign another form. |

I t is common now days they check credit for everything even car insurance because it tells them alot about the person- if you pay your bills on time you are more reliable if you are late it tells them you can't handle your personal life then you can't handle your job and are not focused . Think about it!! And if your having financial problems and can't pay your bills then they feel you would be more apt to steal. |
