It depends on the store. Some stores do some don't. Call and ask ahead before making the trip. It will save some time. |

It really depends on the POS system the retail place uses. Most places with more up-to-date systems are able to process the transaction without the credit card. All you need is the original receipt. |

no but you need a receipt and driver license |

Most places keep the cc # on file. but some places require you to have the card in possestion for your protection.
i work in retail and we do. but if the customers card got lost or stole we will send them a check. or if the make a big deal we will check that all the info is matching and use the # we have in our records. |

Well, If you want the money to go back on the credit card you need to take it, but if cash is fine with you you don't need it. |

Sometimes it says on the receipt to bring the credit card with you if you're making a return. When I go, sometimes they need it and sometimes they don't so I just bring it anyways. |

exchange generally no. return generally yes. I have returned an item and forgot the card and asked for store credit instead and they said no. I've also had the oposite happen they didn't ask for the card at all. |

Recently to stamp out fraud credit cards are incripted with a smartchip in some cases someone will have to swipe the credit card to refund your money to the nominated acc |
|

?

If your exchanging no.
But if your requesting a refund. Yes. The retailer will need to swipe your credit card so the purchase can be credited back to your account.
So the underwear I bought u didn't fit? |

depends on store ... most do not need it.
you might get a refund to the card instead of store credit -- Wal-Mart does this even when the item is a gift. [jerks!!] |

It depends on the store how they refund the money. Some just scan your receipt and the money automatically goes back on your card. SOme require that you have the card with you. If you don't, they will usually give you a store credit. |

It depends on the retailer. Many places now have receipts that they can scan. When they scan the receipt, it automatically brings up the credit card used in the transaction. I'd call the store to ask or bring it with you just to be safe.
