Music Lover | Where & How to start to to clean up ALL unpaid bills/debt? |
I have some unpaid medical bills,
a few regular unpaid bills
and broken lease.
Maybe about $6,000-$7,000 total or so.
I have been wanting to wanna clean this up for a long time,but I don't know where to start or any legit finacial "clean up advisor".
If I go to a financial consulting person or so,
will they total up my whole debt and make it into JUST ONE BILL?
It would be easrier to pay down the debt if it was just ONE bill and if I could perhaps pay $300 a month or so?
Is this possible?
How do I find a LEGIT financial debt consultant or so in Houston,TX?

try one of the credit bureaus (Transunion, Equifax, and Experian) - all 3 are required to give you 1 free report once a year, see what bills are actually being held against you, and start there. Generally they will show who you owe, and how much. Good luck. |

You don't need to pay advisers legit or not. Just list your bills, from highest to lowest, pay the lower one first then use that to pay toward the next, and so on. Be diligent and your debt will be gone soon. Good luck. |

Want some real advice? Start listening to Dave Ramsey on the radio.
The debt loan won't really help. It usually is just an excuse to spend more.
You do usually have a chance with negotiating down your hospital bill. Since Medicare typically only pays about 13% of the billed rate, you should work towards that type of discount.
Consumer Credit Counseling will give you sound advice for free. There assistance will negatively impact your rating; but they will help. Don't expect them to negotiate down your debt.
With that broken lease, I wouldn't be trying to salvage a bad credit rating. You just need to get out of debt and be happy. |

Do you have a bank account? Check with your local bank and see if you qualify for a personal loan to pay off the debt.
They may also be able to provide info about debt consolidators in your area.

You can make partial payments towards your debt each month. Also, try to pay the smaller amounts first. |

That is good that you are trying to fix your credit . I went to this place called CCS it helped me out alot I only payed $68 a month for 2years my debt was about 2,500 I thank but if you can pay $300 amonth you would have that debt payed off in know time. you can be an any state and they will help. Contacting a credit law firm is the best thing you can do. They'll provide you free advice before you decide to continue with them. I'd recommend Lexington Law which has helped many people with credit problems dispute and remove an unlimited number of items on their credit reports. |
