Where can I get a FREE CREDIT SCORE? every place I find, signs u up for a month trial or charges.?
every place I have found charges for a months trial or makes you pay. I thought it was obligated by law to give you your free credit score.

There is no place to get a free "score".

You can get your free "reports" from www.annualcreditreport.com, which is the "only" true government site to get your free reports. The government even states all other sites are scam sites.

But, back to your question, you have to pay to get scores. Do not use any other site but myfico for your scores. Any other place that claims to give you your scores will not be giving you your true scores. Even the credit bureau scores themselves are not true scores.

If you do not want to pay for scores, but want to get a free estimate of what your scores may be, go to myfico and do the score simulator that they have. Even though the results will not be true scores, as long as you are honest in your answers, the results should be fairly close.

No.. it is only required they give you a credit report. The report details your history and obligations, but does not have to include your score.

If you have your credit pulled transunion or any of the others will send you a free copy6. Call the 3 national credit reporting organizations immediately to place a fraud alert on your name and also callNow, here are the numbers you always need to contact about your wallet, etc., has been stolen: 1.) Equifax: 1-800-525-6285 2.) Experian (formerly TRW): 1-888-397-3742 3.) Trans Union: 1-800-680-7289 4.)

All places offer them as free but it does require enrolling or signing up for something. The best you can do is enroll and then tomorrow call and cancel after you get a copy of the report. Or you can contact one of the 3 agencies directly. TransUnion, Equafax and Experian.

You can get a free report from each of the different reporting bureaus, most times instantly. Go to www.experian.com, transunion and can't remember the name of the other one, but you should be able to get it from the site you were just at.

www.annualcreditreport.com
FREE!
There are 3 companies, by Federal law you are entitled to 1 per company per year, so you ask for 1 in January, 1 in June and 1 in November, that way you get to see if anyone is stealing your identity. There is no fee do not get fooled by the web site asking you if you want this or that for another $15.95. Take your time, its instaneous to the screen or by mail.

If you find an answer to this please post it for the rest of us 300 million wishful thinkers.
Just another part of the "fair Credit Reporting Act"!

Everyone is sntitled one free credit yearly from each of the three agencies.
You can also go online to get those three addresses and request
them through the USPS.

Go to www.freecreditreport.com They will give you your report free once a year. I believe I got my score with out paying anything. There are things that you can sign up for through them also although just decline them. You will have to enter some information about yourself to get the report though.

sunflower13pink
They shouldn't charge you for the month trial. I did one through experian, i think it was...anyways, I downloaded my credit report and cancelled the membership the same day, no problems and no money out of my pocket.

Here's the catch. By law they are obligated to provide you a copy of your credit report from the 3 major bureaus once annually so that you can review them and make sure they are accurate.

In order to actually obtain your score you must sign up for the service. It sounds ridiculous and it is, but that is how the fair credit reporting act was written.

For the bureacracy, by the bureacracy.
