I work in a law firm handling credit card collections; we have file cabinets full of people like you. Transferring your balance will only lead to further problems. If it is already out of control, contact your creditors and work out a payment arrangement with them BEFORE they turn you over to people like me who will take you to court and then you are liable for attorney fees and court costs and the MAXIMUM amount of interest allowed by law. Find the original credit card agreement that you signed to get the card, and read all the small print. Scary stuff there. Imagine being sued for the principal amount of your balance, PLUS 25% of that for attorney fees, PLUS 25% of that for interest dating back to your last payment, PLUS whatever the court charges are for filing the law suit against you. I see this happen every day. Please try to make arrangements for monthly payments with the credit card company to keep yourself out of this kind of trouble.

if your credit is bad discover won't give you a card. if you know you shouldn't get another card then don't. IF you're having probelms paying off yor current because of interest rates and lates fees, talk to them to work out a deal or go to a credit counseling service.

Pagen is right. The collectors don't give a hoot about you or your financial situation. All they want is your money, and they will mess you up bad if they don't get it. Sort of like the Mafia but at lease those guys got a concience.

Try to get the credit card rate lowered.

How bad is your credit? You only have one card and you got bad credit already?

Whatever you do, you need to get a grip on your spending. Too many people get a second credit card to transfer the debt, then just run up the charges on the first card again.

Good luck

If you already haev a bad credit card reported to your credit you chances of getting another one are EXTREMELY small. And if you manage your APR (intrest) will be very very high (24%-37%) which will get you more in debt. You should not make any more purchases using that card (if you can still use it)and call CC co. & set up paymnts. and see if they will waive some of the intrest. Depending on your balance you may be able to strike up a deal. If it has already gone to collections, call the collection agency and (if you can afford it) offer a settlement. Start at 60% of the balance (this must be Paid in full at one time, no pmts) and they will counter or refuse. If they refuse see if they will waive some of the interest and fees and get set up on payments. You need to get this paid off, don't ignore it. Revolving Accounts (i.e.; Credit cards & Cell phones ect.) are the most devastating to you credit and the longer you wait the longer it will take to clear you credit. But don't get another card!!

you shouldn't get another credit card. it won't help you clear your debt. It will just make you deeper in it. try to pay back what you owe and clear your debt.

Premier Bank or Orchard Bank, look them up on the Internet.

Credit Guru
First off if your credit is as "bad" as you say you will probably not get approved for another credit card. Stop applying immediately. Every time a lender pulls your credit your score is going down.

If you haven't already you need to get copies of your credit files and review them for accuracy. Go to www annualcreditreport.com and get them for free once per year. This will also not lower your credit score.

Review your credit reports for accuracy and dispute any thing you believe is incorrect or unverifiable.

I'm not sure what you are meaning by "bad" credit, i.e. Bankruptcy, Judgments, Collections, Charge Offs, Late Payments, etc. Each situation requires a specific targeted approach to improve your credit score.

Post a more specific question and I will see if I can help

Good Luck
