www.annualcreditreport.com or visit the three bureau's websites individually. AnnualCreditReport.com is a website created by all three of the bureaus after being ordered by the US Supreme Court to give consumers an easily accessible place to obtain their reports.
The reports are free (one from each bureau within each calendar year) but the scores are not. |

Your credit report is available from the 3 credit reporting agencies to you for FREE at http://www.annualcreditreport.com/ every 12 months. However, you are asking about a credit score and that will cost an additional $7 or so. If you want, you can go to http://www.myfico.com/ and sign up for the 30 day trial for FREE. They will ask for your cc #, but you can cancel it prior to the 30 days and will pay $0. I have done this and know this first hand. Just make sure you cancel it. |

I'm told that you can get it for free if you dig enough.
Otherwise, contact the big 3 credit reporting agencies directly, and ask them how you can get your free credit report, as mandated by congress.
But this is a pretty important thing to know these days, what with identity theft, high interest fees, etc. If you can't find the free link in a reasonable amount of time, it's probably worth it to just spend a few dollars to find out what your report shows, rather than spend hours searching for the way to get the free report. |
