Your credit card number for payments will be that 16 digit number on the front of the card (in raised numbering) - it is in 4 groups of 4 digits.
As far as payment method, were you making a purchase on Amazon or were you going to pay off your Amazon credit card? The invalid date could mean a couple different things depending on which you are talking about. |

well if its the 1st time you have used amazon, then they don't have a credit card number on file, although they may have someone with your user name, which don't mean they are speaking of you. So therefore you probally need to register 1st as a new user, and put your info in. |

its the 16 or 18 digit number on the front of the card, you will also need the expiry date, the name as it appears on the card and the 3 digits on the back. |

its the 16 digit number and it will also have on the card, the valid from date and expire date you mat need to put this in, some also as for the 3 digits that ore on the back where you sign your name, they are 3 numbers at the end on their own, happy shopping. |
