equafax you can get a free credit trial report for 4 weeks although you have to log a card for payment they wont actually take the payment, you have up to 4 weeks free trail with them, and if you cancel before your 4 weeks are up hey bingo! no charge and one free credit report, simple as ABC |

If you live in the US, you are entitled to one free credit report once during a 12 month period. This will be strictly your credit report so it will not contain a credit score. The official site run by all three credit reporting agencies is

You can pay a small fee as well if you decide to add your credit score as well. This site will not sign you up for any recurring charges for credit monitoring or anything else. |

For a proper credit report you need to pay - its not very much only £1 or £2 or so.
These are the only ones you can really depend on and can be got from comapnies such as certegy and experian. |

I wouldn't do it online... write to the three bureaus (Equifax, TransUnion, and Experian). Keep copies of the letters. You have to include your name (and any alias names), address, phone, social security number, mother's maiden name, date of birth, and previous address(es). It's FREE. Keep copies. The address to write is on each company's website. |
