you can get one from experian, you have to register, using a credit card, you get so many days free, you simply do what you need to do then cancel them.
I did it myself not so long ago.
Also take a look at www.moneysupermarket.com lots of info on there, and that was where I got this tip from |

I have listed the companies below that the UK banks and finance companies always recommend. However, they do not have to provide anything for free, although I do know that Experian will only charge you £2.00 for a basis report.

depends what you are after, however try this...
ok it's not free, but it is only £2. go to experian.co.uk and apply for a copy of your credit history. this is the document that any company will use to guage whether to give you credit or not, so the best thing for your credit chances are to make sure it is accurate. any other report you buy (free or not) will just be someone elsaes take on what it says in this report, and as all lenders have different criteria and make their own minds up you knowing that fred bloggs credit reports ltd. rates you as xx% means nothing in the grand scheme of things |

Go to www.annualcreditreport.com for your free report. You are entitled to one free report/year. You get all of your history for free, but I believe you pay $8 or so for the FICO score. ifThis may vary state-to-state, so check the info online. Good luck. |
