Its not something that falls out of the sky on to your lap, even if you win the lottery you have to learn how to handle your money and make it last.
If you don't have a high flying job then try for financial security. All that involves is spending less than you earn, and managing your money effectively. |

1: Ignore people who say the only way to become wealthy is to work for money. THIS IS NONSENSE. Very, VERY few people get wealthy this way.
2: The way to become wealthy is to buy ASSETS that provide you with income. The more income you have from assets the LESS you have to work for money until eventually you don't HAVE to work anymore.
Of course, just SAYING "buy assets" is easy...
Firstly, you need to learn WHAT an asset is and then LEARN how to buy them.
Then secondly, you need the self control to actually buy assets and not spend all your money on crap you don't really need!

First, make sure you are working full time. Next, get rid of that 2005/06 car you just bought and are paying 600.00 a month for a car payment. Buy something reliable,that looks nice and something you can afford. Next, if your cell phone has been turned off 2 or more times in the last year because of non-payment, get rid of it. Then keep track of all the junk food and fast food you buy, and vow to eat healthier. Junk food is not only expensive to buy, its expensive on our health. Cut down your eating out to once a month. You can save up to 1000. a month by doing these things. Put that money every month into a retirement account. By the end of 3 years, you will have about 45000. dollars. Comon, is the nice car really worth being poor? |
