A good place is to compare SCC rates and annual fees at an independent banking website, like BankRate.com
To actually get the cards, credit unions are the most common place to offer SCC, but most require you become a member, which can be tricky if you have low credit scores (which, if you are looking for a SCC< you most likely do). Don't let that discourage you though -- sometimes just opening a small savings account at a credit union will give you membership status, and then you can deposit your money to back the secured credit card. |

Any Major Bank...Why do you want to do that? No one wants secured credit cards...they are just like using your own money and pay the bank interests...not to smart way to do... |

The most convenient walk-in bank. Don't listen to Bear Naked. They're still credit cards, they're just secured credit cards. They will help you establish a credit history. |

Check with your local bank. They often have secured credit cards and are a lot safer than any internet offerings you may find. Some local banks that have these are Wells Fargo, Bank of America and US Bank. They have you put 300-500 in a savings and give you a credit card with the savings as the secured portion. |
