Which credit card can i get if i have no credit?

Capital One will not really build your credit because they do not report a credit limit, therefore, if you charge 5 dollars it looks like you have maxxed out the card.

A department store credit card is the best to get started.

People with bad credit or poor credit are often face difficulties in obtaining a credit card. The fact is indeed true that their choices are limited when it comes to credit cards but, credit card issuers are increasingly offering financial products that specially cater to bad credit people.

Bad credit problem can be caused due to a number of situations. The credit card choices available to bad credit people allow them to rebuild their credit history. Financial products that help bad credit people are prepaid credit cards or debit cards, secured bad credit cards, unsecured bad credit cards.

Prepaid or debit cards:

These are the easiest option available for bad credit people. There are no verifications, no credit checks, no employment requirements, and the approval is instant. All they have to do is to deposit a money and a prepaid card is issued. This card has the borrowing or buying capacity equivalent to the funds deposited. The good thing with prepaid credit card is that it promotes financial discipline. Some prepaid card issuers report to various credit rating agencies, thus it helps in rebuilding your credit history. Apply online at: http://www.credit-card-gallery.com/PrePaid_Card.html and get instant approval.

I would recommend checking through your bank if you have an established relationship with them already.

You may also be able to start with a small card such as a gas card or a department store credit card.

If you do decide to get a credit card, please remember to pay it off in full each month to build up your credit. The last thing you want to do is get into credit card debt.

To build credit is an uphill battle, I would start with using your bank debit card, as often they are either Visa or Mastercard backed logos. Get a Cell phone and pay it with the debit card.
Have a utility put into your own name, phone, electric, etc.
Be aware there are Visa and Master Card programs out there that you can pay $500.00 for a secured card and when you continually pay it off, it shows as a + on your credit report, which qualifies you to seek out unsecured credit cards in about 12 months of good histroy.
Good Luck!

I heard that Bank of American offers secured credit cards. You put money into a savings account that "secures" your credit card . Then your card has a limit of the amount or a partial amount of your savings, but won't take from your savings unless you don't pay the credit card. Once you've paid on the card, you know made purchases and then make your payments, you can request that it become unsecured. They usually have small balances, but it's worth it to get you started.

Any place that offers secured credit cards.

Apply at the gasoline station. These are handed out like Chirstmas wishes and most are tied to Visa or MasterCard. Using one of these will get you more offers for credit than you want.

Beware of any Bankcard that requires an annual fee.
It never goes away...

Try First premier bank. They are often very expensive but worth it if it will build your credit.
